Royal Vanya Nilambur Teak Wood Bed Cot

Crafted with intention

A product built
to outlast generations

Every Royal Nilambur piece begins at Conolly's Plot in Nilambur — the world's oldest teak plantation, established in 1846 and recognised by UNESCO. Timber is sourced only through Kerala Forest Department auctions, from trees grown for a minimum of 60 years. That slow growth produces grain so dense, the wood becomes harder with every decade it stands in your home.

Third-generation craftsmen from Nilambur and Malappuram shape each plank by hand using traditional mortise and tenon joinery in every structural connection — the same technique that has held 19th-century Kerala antiques together for 150 years. The joints tighten as the wood settles. Your grandchildren will sit on the same piece you buy today.
